Officials said, on Saturday, the CBI conducted searches in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar with regards to the cases related to coal mafia.

A case against two General Managers of the Eastern coalfield limited, one security in-charge, chief security, and two other officials were registered.

A case against Anup Majhi alias Lala and other unknown persons has been registered.

Apart from this, for being involved in theft of coal in the above States, cases have been registered against officials of Railway, CISF, and others.
