Rashtriya Janata Dal honcho Lalu Prasad Yadav was rushed to Mumbai's Asian Heart Institute after taking ill this morning.
He was rushed to the hospital after he complained of chest pain and was advised to undergo a detailed medical test.
He is under the observation of renowned cardiac specialist, Dr. Ramakanta Panda. Incidentally, he is the same doctor who operated former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh too.
"This is a scheduled medical evaluation. There is no cause to panic," a spokesperson for the Asian Heart Institute said earlier today.
However, after undergoing a battery of tests, it was found that the 66-year-old leader will have to undergo a heart surgery soon as two of his valves need to be replaced immediately.
But not all is bad news for Lalu Prasad Yadav. His recent alliance with JD(U) and Congress has bagged him seven of ten BJP Assembly seats. This certainly calls for a celebration for both Lalu and Nitish's party who were facing a threat from BJP that dominated the LS polls entirely.
However, things seem to be changing now with the Assembly polls.
