Not just in the electoral battle field, but even in social media, Narendra Modi seems to be stealing the spotlight followed by nemesis Digvijaya Singh, who too is leaving no stone unturned to steal the public glare.

Talking about trend, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's voter selfie and tweet turned out to be one of the major trending items on the micro-blogging platform Twitter yesterday.

According to Twitter, Mr Modi's selfie tweet was the "most re-tweeted" item of the day, while #SelfieWithModi was second on most trending topics in the country.

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh topped the trend list while topics related to AAP also figured prominently.

According to the date revealed by Twitter,  India posted nearly 7 lakh tweets related to elections on the seventh phase of polling day. Among them, over 2 lakh tweets were on Mr Modi alone,  while AAP came second with over 66,000 tweets. Over 16,000 tweets were on Mr Modi's selfie.  r Modi's selfie tweet was retweeted over 2,800 times.
