A Pakistani woman is the new mother to be inducted into the multiple birth club after she delivered four girls and two boys in a private medical clinic in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The family, from the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, later moved the babies and their mother to Combined Military Hospital in Bannu for further observation.
The woman had apparently gone to the clinic for a routine pregnancy check-up when she delivered her little bundles of joy.
Last year October a 35-year-old housewife, named Sabira, delivered quintuplets - three girls and two boys - at the Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar.
That same month, another Pakistani woman delivered three boys and a girl in the Mianwalki district of Punjab, while in June, a woman delivered five babies at the Government Allama Iqbal Memorial DHQ Hospital, also in Punjab. She gave birth to four sons and a daughter, although one boy and the girl died just a few hours after their birth.
