South Indian actress, Taapsee is becoming choosier about her roles after making her Bollywood debut. She admitted about rejecting to over ten horror film offers in Telugu and Tamil before giving a nod to the unnamed film that stars Sundeep Kishan.

Taapsee who is playing a psychiatrist in the movie that is set to launch in Tamil and Telugu, said, "I didn't want to act in another horror film despite the success of Ganga. I was bowled over by the plotline that CV Kumar narrated. It's a science fiction thriller that's going to be a first of its kind."

"It's a very strong, independent character and that's what I loved about it. I play a woman who means business and there is nothing girly or flimsy about it," said the pretty actress.

"Initially I used to take up films just to be part of a big banner production. At one point I had seven releases in a year. But now that I have three markets to cater to - Telugu, Tamil and Hindi - I've decided to take up roles that really excite me and focus more on quality than quantity," added Taapsee.

The actress has not signed a straight Telugu film since ‘Sahasam’ that released in 2013. She says that she is tired of playing the bubbly girl next door without much to perform.

"I've always got more challenging roles in Tamil cinema while filmmakers in Tollywood have offered me the glam doll roles. But I have signed a new Telugu film and will start shooting for it soon," the actress said.
