Veteran Telugu actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao died this morning in hospital. He was 90 years old. ANR, who had been suffering from cancer, developed complications in the early hours of Wednesday and was rushed to a hospital in Banjara Hills.

The veteran actor had recently gone public about his health and revealed that he was suffering from cancer. ANR said that he was going public to prevent media speculation regarding his health. He even said that he was taking medication and his disease was not a serious problem.

Currently, the Dada Saheb Phalke award winner was working on the film 'Manam', which stars his son Akkineni Nagarjuna and grandson Akkineni Naga Chaitanya. The movie is not yet complete.
