Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRA) is on a mission to demolish illegal constructions that were erected over the past few years near Hyderabad. Several rich and expensive farmhouses constructed across Gandipet lake are demolished successfully and their acts are appreciated. Nagarjuna's function hall N Convention has been receiving criticism as it was built on the bank of Thammidikunta lake. Nag has been facing allegations but the previous governments never took action on the N Convention. The encroachments are around 1.12 acre in FTL and 2 acres in the buffer zone.

The HYDRA Authorities have started demolition of the encroached land this morning and the videos are viral. Though a survey was conducted in 2014, no action was taken by the officials of GHMC. Some of the videos of Revanth Reddy from the past about the encroachment of N Convention are going viral. N Convention is located in the prime location of Hyderabad's Madhapur and it is spread across 10 acres.

Minister Komitireddy Venkat Reddy complained against N Convention to Ranganth on the 21st of August by writing, “It has brought to the notice that the N Convention hall is located on the east of Thammidi Kunta, Khanamet Village, Selingampally Mandal of Rangareddy, Dist which is clear encroachment. It is also represented that this structure is built within the FTL area, protected by a raised retaining wall towards the tank water side. This Structure was constructed by raising the original ground level, thereby reducing the water spread area of the Kunta. A detailed FTL map showing the encroachment part of N convention with FTL and buffer zone boundaries is enclosed herewith the ready reference. Keeping in view the above, it is requested to take immediate necessary action in the matter. “

Nagarjuna responded to the demolition done by HYDRA. He took his twitter and wrote, “Pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases. I thought it fit to issue this statement to place on record certain facts for protecting my reputation and to indicate that we have not done any actions in violation of law. The land is a Patta land, and not even an inch of tank plan is encroached. In respect of the building constructed inside the private land, there is a stay order granted against any earlier illegal notice for demolition. Today clearly, the demolition was carried out wrongfully based on misinformation. No notice was issued prior to carrying out the demolition this morning. As a law-abiding citizen, if the Court before which the matter is pending had decided against me, I would have carried out the demolition myself. I am placing this on record for the purpose of correcting any public misimpression about wrongful constructions or encroachment by us. We would be seeking appropriate relief from the Court in relation to the wrong actions carried out by the authorities.”
