WhatsApp voice calling feature is now available for all android users without any need for inviting the friends or acquaintances. The company has updated its version with many user friendly features bringing down the limitations. However, to use this app, the version must be updated from v2.11.561 to v2.12.19.
Describing what's new in the app, WhatsApp's Google Play page says, "WhatsApp Calling: Call your friends and family using WhatsApp for free, even if they're in another country. WhatsApp calls use your phone's Internet connection rather than your cellular plan's voice minutes. Data charges may apply". It has also said that no more invites are needed for availing the service.
This is the most awaited app for many WhatsApp users. You can call anyone while chatting, the app will warn you if the person on the other end has a compatible version or not and those that are offline will receive a missed call notification.
Previously the feature was invite-only and saw a limited rollout but with these great features the app is going to bring millions and millions of new users to WhatsApp. It is expected to have more success than social networking site Facebook which actually owns the WhatsApp service.
Currently the voice calling app is available to only android users but in couple of weeks it is going to be available even for iOS users.
