The first date is crucial as it decides whether you will go on a second date with the special someone. And if things work out it could be the beginning of a long term relationship. Your first date can be full of stress - you have to talk right, look good, sound interesting and most importantly you need to make an impression on her. Some places are just not appropriate for a first date. Here are a few places you should avoid on a first date.

Meeting over dinner

On the surface a dinner date seems to be perfect for a first date. Think again it may not be a good idea. A fancy restaurant with exotic dishes on its menu seems the best way to impress her. What if the two of you have nothing more to talk about. It will be tedious. What about the fat bill after dinner. Splurging on your partner is ok, but you cannot say anything about a first date – it may or it may not work. So why waste money on an expensive dinner date.

Going for a movie date

Movie theatres are popular destinations for most couples. But going for a movie the first time you go out with her is not advisable. The reason why the two of you agree to go out together for a date is to talk and know each other. If you opt for a movie, both of you would be distracted and may not talk much. You cannot find out if the two of you share something special. Avoid a movie theatre especially on a first date.

Taking her to your favourite bar

Your favourite bar will definitely project a positive image about you. But it's your home turf and you have quite a few friends at this place. Someone or the other will always be coming up to you and say 'Hi'. Meaning, your conversations with her will get interrupted repeatedly. So your favourite bar is a strict 'no' when it comes to your first date.
