Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched 'Digital India Week' at a function in Delhi, a pet scheme of the Indian govt., that aims to connect all gram Panchayats by broadband internet, promote e-governance and transform India into a connected knowledge economy.

We are connecting Jammu & Kashmir through fiber network, said Anil Agarwal, Chairman, Vedanta.

We commit to spend in excess of Rs 100,000 crore in the next 5 years. We will take 4G to the masses, said Sunil Mittal, Bharti Chairman.

We are developing a digitally enabled township in a suburb of Mumbai. We plan to invest $7 billion in the next 5 years to consolidate connectivity infrastructure. Also launching a mobile wallet, said Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group.

I would like to congratulate the government and commit Tata Group's whole hearted participation, Cyrus Mistry, Chairman of Tata Group.

I believe Digital India will be a huge success because of the adoption of technology by the youth of India. Reliance will invest 250,000 crore across digital India pillars, said Mukesh Ambani, Reliance JIO.

We are promoting electronic manufacturing in a very big way. Invite all entrepreneurs to come and make in India. Digital inclusion will see BPOs in small towns like Gorakhpur and Varanasi, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
