NRI Businessman Criticizes Opposition at LKS

M A Yusuff Ali, an NRI businessman indirectly criticized the opposition who boycotted the Loka Kerala Sabha (LKS). The LKS is a programme which is sponsored by the state government in order to utilize the expertise of Non-Resident Keralite for the development of the state.

“ There was a controversy over the facilities arranged for the LKS. Bust most of the delegates who come here use facilities far better than this. These are all far less than the help provided by the NRI community. They deserve better,” said Yusuf Ali while speaking at the LKS delegates conference.

A favourable environment for investments of NRI in Kerala has been made by the chief minister and the government. The investment authority of Abu Dhabi has expressed their willingness in stating a venture in Kerala so after the CM had discussed with them. He added saying that the new investments are being opposed by few officials and has put forth his opinion in making a law for ensuring the security to NRI investments as the demolishing of the Maradu flats caused loss to many NRIs.

Dr. Ravi Pillai said that new job opportunities should be created basing e-commerce and Artificial- Intelligence and the language proficiency should also be focused along with the technical skills where as, Dr. Azad Moopen said that the major trouble that the NRIs face is the education of children as the children who study abroad are denied opportunities for various exams which can be resolved by setting up an NRI University.

A proposal for a health care project utilizing technology has been handed over by Resul Pookutty to the chief minister as he intends to implement in Anchal as a trial basis. The chairman of Gokulam Group, Gokulam Gopalan said that NRI partnership companies should exists so as new ventures can be started.
