Arvind Kejriwal has announced his resignation as Delhi's Chief Minister, stating he will return to office only after the people's decision on the corruption allegations against him. With Delhi's Assembly elections scheduled for February next year, the question arises as to who will lead the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the top position. Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has also said he will seek the public's verdict before reclaiming the top job. This indicates that the party's senior leaders are not actively pursuing the Chief Minister's post. Although this term will be brief, AAP leadership aims to select a prominent figure who can effectively communicate the party's stance on crucial matters and enjoy wide acceptance within the party ranks. Atishi, the Delhi Minister holding key portfolios like education and public works, is considered one of the leading contenders.

The text describes two prominent members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi government. Atishi, a 43-year-old MLA from Kalkaji, became a minister after the arrest of Manish Sisodia in a corruption case. When the party's top leaders were jailed, Atishi voiced the party's stance. Saurabh Bharadwaj, a three-time MLA from Greater Kailash, also became a minister after Sisodia's arrest. Bharadwaj, a former software engineer, had previously served as a minister in Arvind Kejriwal's 49-day government. He is also a national spokesperson for the AAP and spoke on the party's behalf when its leaders were imprisoned due to corruption charges.

Raghav Chadha is a member of the AAP's national executive and political affairs committee, as well as a Rajya Sabha MP from the party, and one of its top representatives. He previously worked as a chartered accountant and has been with the AAP since its inception. He was an MLA from Rajinder Nagar and played a key role in the AAP's landslide victory in the 2022 Punjab state elections. The 35-year-old is considered one of the country's most prominent young politicians and is known for articulating the AAP's position on important issues in Parliament.

Kailash Gahlot is a lawyer by profession and a senior member of the AAP government in Delhi, holding key portfolios such as transport, finance, and home affairs. The 50-year-old leader has been an MLA from Delhi's Najafgarh constituency since 2015. He has practiced law in both the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court and has served as a member of the executive in the high court bar association between 2005 and 2007.

Sanjay Singh: Member of the Rajya Sabha since 2018. Sanjay Singh is a prominent face of the Aam Aadmi Party, known for his energetic speeches in Parliament. The 52-year-old leader is one of the founders of the party, a member of the National Executive Committee and the Political Committee. He also regularly participates in media dialogues, where he expresses the party's position on the most important issues. Sanjay Singh was also arrested in a corruption case related to Delhi's liquor policy and is now out on bail, as are Kejriwal and Sisodia.
