AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has lost 8.5 kg and his blood sugar level has fallen below 50 mg/dl five times since his arrest. In a press conference, Singh alleged that the BJP-led government at the Center was hatching a conspiracy to make Kejriwal "gravely ill" and termed it "extremely worrying". Mr. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED and CBI in connection with the liquor case and has been lodged in Tihar Jail since April 1. Singh said that Kejriwal's weight was 70 kg when he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21, but now his weight has come down to 61.5 kg. "BJP wants to torture Kejriwal in jail and Modi government's aim is to play with Kejriwal's life, who weighed 70 kg on March 21 and has now lost 8.5 kg," said. Singh said it was unclear why she continued to lose weight as no tests were conducted. He claimed that weight loss was a sign of serious illness.

“There were also around five instances when Kejriwal’s blood sugar level fell below 50 mg/dl. If his blood sugar level dropped every time, anyone could have fallen into a coma. The question is, why did this happen? What happened to Kejriwal? ? The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Kejriwal in a corruption case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) subsequently arrested and said, "The CBI had already filed a false case against Mr. Kejriwal when he was expected to be acquitted by the Supreme Court." All of this was done to gamble with his life. We are aware of it,” he said. As part of the conditions laid down by a two-judge bench comprising Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta, the AAP chief will not be allowed to visit his office or the Delhi Secretariat during the bail period. The Prime Minister also “cannot sign any official act unless it is necessary and necessary to obtain permission/approval from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi”.

Mr. Kejriwal will also have to furnish a surety bond of Rs 50,000 and a surety bond of the same amount. It also orders, as is usual in such cases, “to refrain from contacting witnesses and/or accessing official files in connection with the case.” A key part of the bail conditions - that the prime minister is not allowed to visit his office or sign official documents - is the same condition set by the Supreme Court when it granted interim bail for election campaigns. Since his arrest, Mr. Kejriwal has faced numerous calls for his resignation, mostly from leaders and workers of the opposition People's Party, who have protested repeatedly and loudly. The prime minister's party has repeatedly ignored these calls, pointing out that he has not been convicted of a crime and stressing that his allegations are completely false and unfounded. Several PILs (Public Interest Litigation) have been filed in both the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court seeking directions for Kejriwal's resignation.
