Paradise Restaurant Served 70,44,289 Plates of Biryani a Year, Enters the Limca Book of Records

Hyderabad-based restaurant chain Paradise, known for its world-famous biryani, has bagged a place in the Limca Book of Records 2019 for dishing out the maximum servings of biryani in a year.
In the year 2017, the Hyderabad branch of the eating house served 70,44,289 plates of biryani to its customers between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2017.
“Limca Book has recorded that Paradise Food Court has sold 70,44,289 biryani servings between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2017...The achievement is recorded in the 2019 edition of the Limca Book of Records,” the restaurant said in a press release issued earlier this week.
The restaurant as well bagged the award for the ‘Restaurant serving the best Biryani’ at the Asia Food Congress held in Mumbai. The chairman of the Paradise food court, Ali Hemati, was also bestowed the Lifetime achievement award for his contribution to a restaurant, food, and hospitality services.
“Entering the Limca Book of Records and being rated as the Restaurant Serving Best Biryani by the Asia Food Congress give us twin joy, and a testament to the love our loyal customers shower on us,” Gautam Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, Paradise Food Court, told Business Line.
Founded in 1953 in Hyderabad, the restaurant began as a small eating place serving tea and snacks, nonetheless, grew bit by bit in popularity and is now world renowned and an intrinsic part of the Hyderabadi food. The restaurant now has multiple branches across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and also in Bangalore and Chennai.
The esteemed Wall Street Journal has likewise rated the Paradise Biryani as the ‘Best Hyderabadi Biryani’.
