To what extent can anyone go to create a world record? Meet Nisansala and Nalin, the newly-wed Sri Lankan couple who exchanged vows in a truly world-record-breaking ceremony on Friday.

The couple made it to the Guinness World Record for having the most number of bridesmaids at a wedding. They apparently had 126 maids in their wedding.

Champi Siriwardana, one of Sri Lanka's leading wedding planners and dress designers as well as the bride's sister-in-law, came up with the bright idea to break the world record with this memorable wedding.

The wedding, besides 126 bridesmaids, features twenty-five groomsmen, 20 page boys and and 23 flower girls and even First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
