Mika Singh put a grand display of his big heart during the recent promo event of his debut flick 'Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya'. The generous singer not all wowed the crowd, but also floored the superstar Amitabh Bachchan by gifting him a diamond ring. Needless to say, the guest of honor was thrilled by the gesture.

Says a source, “As the guest of honor at the film’s music launch, Bachchan was asked to speak about Mika. Big B mentioned how he listens to Mika’s songs once in a while and how his family loves the singer’s voice. He also joked that now there was one more competitor in the field of acting.”

An overwhelmed Mika too thanked the superstar for squeezing time from his busy schedule and attending the event.

“He then took out a diamond ring from his hand and made Bachchan wear it. The senior actor was a little hesitant to accept it but Mika insisted that he take it. It was his way of expressing his love for the veteran actor; he gave it to Big B as a mark of respect,” says the source.

This isn't the first time that Mika has doled out an expensive gift to his celeb friends. A couple of months ago, he presented an expensive wristwatch to Mithun Chakraborty, when he appeared on the sets of a dance reality show.

Not just that, when he met Rekha for the first time during an awards night this year, he gifted her his Sikh Khanda locket.

He has also gifted music director Pritam an SUV for giving him a hit song.

Someone has rightly said that it pays to have rich friends in Bollywood.
