With ALS Ice Bucket challenge going viral on the social media, how could our Indian celebs stay away from the charity dare.

That's right! Toeing the lines of international celebs, even our desi actors and sportstars are doing their bid to raise awareness about ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a degenerative neuro disease.

As is the norms, anybody taking up the challenge have to post its video online as well as nominate three other people to take up the challenge or donate money to the organization fighting for ALS.

On Wednesday, Bollywood stars like Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and the entire team of “Happy New Year” took up the challenge. Daler Mehendi, Rahul Bose, Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, and Bipasha Basu also poured ice cold water over themselves to raise awareness

While Abhishek Bachchan decided to accomplish the task in the privacy of his bathroom, Rahul Bose, challenged by Rohan Bopanna, chose not to waste water but donate for the cause. Riteish Deshmukh, on the other hand, filmed his Ice Bucket video in the sets of his ongoing film.

Ritiesh nominated Akshay for the task who in turn nominated Salman Khan, Twinkle Khanna and Johny Lever. Ritiesh's other nominees were Ashish Chowdhry, Pulkit Samrat and Sidharth Malhotra.

Sidharth nominated Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Mohit Suri. Raj Kundra, challenged by Bipasha Basu, nominated Shruti Hassan, Deepika Padukone, R. Madhavan and Masaba Gupta.
