Govt plans to Evacuate remaining Indians from Wuhan city of China

The government of India is planning to evacuate the remaining Indians who are stuck in the Wuhan city of China which is the epicenter of the deadly coronavirus.

India is preparing to evacuate it citizens by a special Indian Air Force plane which is expected to land in China along with relief medical supplies on Wednesday.

A message has been sent by the Indian embassy, to the Indians who have enrolled to go by the special flight where in it has mentioned that they have been working their plan for operating the relief flight on Wednesday.

It has been expected that the special flight will be boarded by around 90 to 100 Indians.

However, the country India has also expressed its willingness for evacuating the citizens from the neighborhood countries as well.

The government of India has announced the plans for sending C- 17 Globemaster which is the largest plane of the Indian Air Force. This plane would carry the medical supplies to China.

The officials of India have blamed China for not granting the requisite clearance which is a charge that Beijing denies.

It has been said by the officials that it is expected that the special flight would land in Wuhan on Wednesday as the permissions that are necessary have been obtained and the special flight would get medical relief supplies such as medical gloves, suits and other materials which would be used in the efforts to combat the deadly coronavirus formerly known as COVID- 19, in China.

The Chinese officials have said on Tuesday that the number of people being killed and infected have shown a steady increase in China with the death toll reaching 2,663 while the number of people infected with the deadly COVID-19 has increased to 77,658.

Earlier, two special Air India flights have been operated for evacuating the Indians from the Wuhan city of China and the two flights have made the effort on the 1st and 2nd of February and they have been successful in evacuating around 647 Indian nationals along with seven Maldivian nationals.

The people who have been evacuated were quarantined and kept at an army camp in Manesar.

A note has been sent to the Indians who are stuck in Wuhan and who wanted to be evacuated, where in it has been mentioned that the representatives of the embassy who have been in touch with the Indians in Wuhan would be advising them regarding the exact time of the pick up and that the arrangements are being made by the embassy which has hired vehicles for getting them to the Wuhan airport.

The note has also mentioned that, "You are requested to prepare for departure tomorrow morning bearing in mind the points mentioned in the advisory already issued on this group.”

“Kindly note that these arrangements are still tentative and subject to change. We appreciate your understanding and patience,” said the note.
