On Monday, Raymond Group's billionaire Chairman Gautam Singhania made a public announcement about the end of his 32-year-long marriage with Nawaz Modi Singhania. This news followed the release of a video featuring Nawaz alleging that she was prevented from attending her husband's Diwali party held at JK Gram in Thane. In the video, Nawaz is seen at the party venue's gate with another woman, claiming that the security guards had stopped her even though she had been invited to the event. According to the footage, she had to wait for over three hours in her car before leaving the site. Gautam Singhania confirmed their separation through a post on X on Monday.

"This Diwali is not going to be the same as many in the past. It is my belief that Nawaz and I will pursue different paths from here on. 32 years of being together as a couple, growing as parents and always being a strength of each other... we traversed with commitment, resolve, faith as along came the two most beautiful additions in our lives. As I reflect over the unfortunate developments in the recent past, there has been a lot of unsubstantiated rumour mongering, and gossip surrounding our lives fanned by 'not so well wishers. It is my belief that Nawaz and I will pursue different paths from here on. I am parting ways with her while we continue to do what is the best for our two precious diamonds Niharika and Nisa. Please respect this personal decision and kindly give us the space to settle all aspects of the relationship.
