Delhi schools to remain shut for Two Days

With the increase in the pollution and the poor air quality index in the national capital, the government of New Delhi took some crucial decisions. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the private primary schools in NCR will remain shut for two days starting from today and they will be reopened on Monday. "In light of the rising pollution levels, all govt and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 2 days" posted Kejriwal on his Twitter page. The construction works in the region too are asked to be kept on halt and he diesel buses from Haryana are banned.

The Gurugram District Magistrate issued an order under Section 144 of the Criminal Proceedure Act, 1973 to combat the air pollution in the region. "In light of the rising pollution levels, all govt and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 2 days" told his statement. The burning of waste materials like leaves, garbage, rubber and plastic are banned strictly in Gurugram region. The authorities are asked to strict action against anyone who violates the rules. The Air Quality Index in Delhi is currently very poor.

The government of Delhi is keen to sprinkle water on roads instead of sweeping the roads regulary to reduce the pollution. Boring and drilling works along with the construction works are completely banned in NCR. A sub committee was formed to take some crucial decisions and report the Delhi government.
