DMK Minister and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin's comments on eradicating Sanatana Dharma have landed in controversy.

Udhayanidhi Stalin while addressing the gathering at the TamilNadu Progressive Writers Artists Association on Eradication Of Sanathana Dharma has been opposed by many after he compared Sanathana dharma with Malaria, dengue, Mosquitos or corona. He said how we eradicate this virus, we need to eradicate Sanathana dharma rather than opposing it. He thanked the organisers for conducting a conference named Sanatana Abolition Conference rather than calling it the Anti-Sanatana Conference.

BJP leaders have strongly opposed the comments of Udhayanidhi Stalin and they said that 80 per cent of people in the nation are following the Sanatana dharma. BJP commented that the INDIA party group has shown their face by opposing the Sanatana Dharma, that is by calling them the Hindu Virodi face. They called Udhayanidhi “Spoiled Brat”.

Besides this Congress leaders have also opposed Udhayanidhi's remarks. They recalled the importance of religious tolerance and reminded us that our Constitution is secular.

However Udhayanidhi responded to the controversy, He said Sanatana dharma is a principle that divides people by caste and religion and said he stands on every word he speaks. He again said that like COVID-19, Dengue and Malaria caused by Mosquitoes, Sanatana Dharma is also responsible for many social evils. He asked them to stop spreading the fake news.
