Consuming Dog Meat Is a Right Of Consumer Choice

With the initiative of first lady Kim Keon-hee, South Korea has banned dog meat consumption in the country. She called it her duty to end the tradition of eating dogs. She worked hard to put an end to the consumption of dog meat in the country. There is a divided thought over consumption in South Korea. They called her Kim of South.

A dog meat farmer in the country, who has nearly 200 dogs in his field was transported to the United States and Canada. The farmer is now planning to cultivate cabbages on his farm. Dogs rather than being slaughtered transferred to some other countries for adoption. There was a poll conducted for the South Koreans, while 85 per cent of South Korean stopped eating dog meat, 56 per cent supported the ban.

The HIS/Korea has nearly saved 2700 dogs after the ban. Koreans called it as their right of consumer choice to what they want to eat. All the dogs were transferred to the USA, Canada, Netherlands and the UK, where they found their adoptive families. Mr Yang was a happy man and he recollected his days when people in South Korea kept smiling and interacting with dogs without any displeasure. It was estimated that nearly 1 million dogs are bred on farms across the country were killed for human consumption.
