Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, one of the accused in former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder case has written a letter to CBI director Praveen Sood complaining against SP Ram Singh, former CBI investigating officer.

YS Avinash Reddy wrote in the letter that Ram Singh investigated the case in a biased manner and he said that Ram Singh has investigated the case even before taking charge as an investigative officer, which is a violation of the rule. He also wrote that Ram Singh has threatened the witnesses and implicated his father Bhaskar Reddy, Sivasankar Reddy and him in the murder probe.

Avinash Reddy also wrote that PA Krishna Reddy was tortured and changed the statements against him. He also pointed out that CBI has delayed the arrest of Dastagiri, who confessed to the murder. He made it a point that Sunitha (Daughter of YS Vivekananda Reddy) did not oppose the murderer's anticipatory bail plea.

Avinash Reddy mentioned that the murder might have been done to take the property documents in the name of Vivekananda Reddy’s second wife. He asked to provide details on who gave the details to Munna’s locker.

Uday Kumar Reddy, another accused in YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder has filed a complaint against Ram Singh in Kadapa court saying that he was tortured by the CBI chief. Court has ordered the probe and a criminal registered the case against Ram Singh. CI Sankaraiah's unspoken words were filed as evidence by Ram Singh. CI has filed a complaint regarding the same before Kadapa SP and the court.
