Kokapeta Lands: High Court Issues Notices To Government

As a response to a Public Interested Litigation (PIL), Telangana High Court has issued notice to the Telangana government seeking the land allotment of 11 acres in Kokapet for the BRS office.

High Court has questioned the chief secretary, HMDA commissioner, chief commissioner of land administration and Ranga Reddy district collector and asked them to reply to the notices on or before the 16th of August. The land is under survey numbers 239 and 240 in Kokapet village.

The PIL was filed by M Padmanabha Reddy, the secretary of the NGO Forum of Good Governance. BRS government has allotted 11 acres of land at a price of Rs 3.41Cr. Where market price in that area was considered as Rs 50Cr per acre. Padmanabha Reddy has questioned the same before the court of law.

He also appealed that the documents were kept secret and he also claims that the party has already have one office in Hyderabad. Sarasani Satyam Reddy, senior counsel also appealed the same in the court. J Rama Chandra Rao, Additional Advocate General Of Telangana was on behalf of the Telangana government. After listening to both sides, High Court directed the government to respond to the case and a further hearing was adjourned to August 16th.
