Narendra Modi Worried About High Import Bills

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his concern over the high import bill of the country for the fertilizers, edible oil and crude oil. He wanted to reduce the import dependence. Narendra Modi spoke during the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan in New Delhi and he released the 12th installment of financial benefits of Rs 16000 crores to farmers under the flagship PM-Kisan scheme. Narendra Modi launched Bharat brand fertilizer and the subsidised urea will be available of 'One Nation One Fertilizer' scheme. The Indian companies are asked to sell products under the Bharat brand hereon. Narendra Modi spoke through a virtual address to distribute Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Ma Amrutam (PMJAY-MA). Narendra Modi underlined the need to fight malnutrition.

It is important to fight against malnutrition told Narendra Modi. "The previous governments used to meet at the big convention centres. The benefits of the previous government schemes failed to impress the public. Only a few citizens used to get the benefits. Our government has changed the practice. The government is gojng to every house and gave the benefits of the scheme to the eligible people after the beneficiaries are identified. Rs 2.16 lakh crores are transferred to around 11 crore farmers till date. Under this scheme, each beneficiary gets Rs 6000 every year in three installments" told Narendra Modi.
