The coronavirus is back in the nation and the new cases are increasing on a faster note all over. The active cases which dipped down from the past five months have seen a huge rise in just a week. A total number of 12,213 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the last 24 hours and the total number of cases reported in India till date are said to be 4,32,57,730. There are 58,215 active cases in the country and the total number of recoveries climbed to 4,26,74,712. Eleven people passed away in the last 24 hours and the total number of deaths are said to be 5,24,803. There are 85,63,90,449 tests conducted for coronavirus till date and the vaccinations administered are 1,95,67,37,014.

The daily positivity rate is at 2.35 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 2.38 percent. The recovery rate of India is now at 98.65 percent. Maharashtra and Kerala are the biggest contributors for Covid-19 cases. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare revealed that more than 195.53 crorre doses of Covid-19 vaccines are provided to the states and the union territories. There are 13.28 crore doses of the vaccines available with the states. A total number of 3,54,38,168 vaccines are given for the age group of 12-14 years. The active cases comprise of 0.13 percent of the total positive cases. Mumbai reported 2293 new cases of coronavirus in a day.
