Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been facing allegations of money laundering in the National Herald case and the investigation agency Enforcement Directorate issued notices to Rahul Gandhi and his mother Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi in the case. Rahul Gandhi protested though a march and reached the ED office on Monday and the Congress leaders and supporters staged protests against the Indian government on Monday. Several crucial leaders have been detained and released on bail. After a day long investigation, Rahul Gandhi appeared before the officials of ED for the second day in a row yesterday. The investigation went on for ten hours after Rahul Gandhi appeared before ED at their headquarters on APJ Abdul Kamal Road in Centra Delhi.
144 section was imposed around the region and huge number of cops were deployed. Rahul Gandhi left for lunch break in the afternoon and he appeared before the agency again post-lunch. He was questioned for ten long hours yesterday. He was accompanied by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Rahul Gandhi's statement was recorded under the criminal sections of PMLA. Multiple questioning sessions took place and 50 pages of his statement was typed by the officials. Rahul Gandhi signed the sheet as per the sources. The Congress leaders and supporters staged a protest at the regional office of ED for the second day. Rahul Gandhi was asked to appear for the investigation for the third day today.
