ED Arrests Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik in Money Laundering Case

Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has been drilled by the Enforcement Directorate and he is arrested today. Nawab Malik arrived at the ED office this morning in relation to a money laundering case that is linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Nawab Malik was summoned this morning and he was asked to attend before the agency. NCP workers protested outside the office of the Enforcement Directorate after Nawab Malik was produced in the court today afternoon. Before this, his statement was recorded in the money laundering case.
The officials of ED reached his residence at 6 AM and he was questioned for an hour. He was taken to ED office at 7:30 AM and was questioned for one more hour. The statement of Nawab Malik was recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The office of Nawab Malik informed the news on twitter and the statement said "Today morning the ED had come to @nawabmalikncp saheb's residence. They accompanied saheb in his vehicle to the ED office. Advocate Amir Malik, Saheb's son has accompanied saheb along with". His supporters were seen rushing towards the ED office and they were stopped by the cops. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the Central Agencies are politically motivated.
