A total number of 18,833 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total tally of coronavirus in India reached 3,38,71,881 and the active cases saw a huge decline. There are 2,46,687 active cases of coronavirus in the country for now. With 278 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the total deaths reported in India till date are said to be 4,49,538. The active cases comprise of 0.73 percent of the total reported cases. The Indian coronavirus vaccination crossed 92 crore mark and more than 54 lakh doses are administered in the country yesterday. A total number of 24,770 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

The daily positivity rate is 1.34 percent and there are 6.93 crore vaccine doses are available with the states and the union territories in India. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of samples that are tested for coronavirus in total are said to be 57,68,03,867 and the samples that are tested yesterday are 14,09,825. The health experts warned of a possible third wave of coronavirus next year and they asked the people to be extra cautious. The current rate saw a decline but the Dasara and Diwali season would trigger the rise warned the experts. The massive vaccination drive curbed the spread and prevented the rise in the cases in the country.
