Billionaire jeweler and businessman Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi are the most wanted in the Punjab National Bank scam which was over Rs 13,500 crores. The duo fled from the country and the Enforcement Directorate officials seized all properties of them in the country. While Nirav Modi is caught in London, the process of extradition is in the final stages. His uncle Mehul Choksi is residing in Antigua after he holds citizenship of the country. After he went missing and was caught by the officials of Dominica, the Indian government has been in touch and sent a special flight to deport Mehul Choksi back to the country. A private jet with all the needed documents are sent to Dominica. A special jet of Qatar Airways flew for 13,000 km from Delhi and landed in the Douglas-Charles airport on Saturday.

Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda confirmed the news but the Indian officials are tight-lipped about the same. Mehul Choksi was detained in Dominica for his illegal entry and there are speculations that he was on a romantic date with his girlfriend. If he returns back to Antigua and Barbuda, the process of extradition takes years as he happens to be a citizen of the country. So the Indian government is keen to bring Mehul Choksi back to the country from Dominica. The recent pictures of Mehul Choksi are reported on the media and he was spotted with swollen eyes and bruises on his hands. His lawyers argue that it is illegal to bring Mehul Choksi to India as he holds the citizenship of Antigua and Barbuda.
