Active coronavirus cases on a huge rise in India

The total number of active cases remained less than 1.5 lakhs early this year when the wave of coronavirus cases calmed down. A total number of 53,480 new cases for coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the active cases reached 5.52 lakhs as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country reached 1,21,49,335 and 354 deaths are reported in India in the last one day. The total death tally in the country reached 1,62,468. Maharashtra reported 27,918 cases yesterday and witnessed a drop after two days. This may be because of the lower testing.

The total number of recoveries in the country till date reached 1,14,34,301. The Centre reviewed the situation in the country saying that it is worse from bad. The Centre asked the states to vaccinate all the people above 45 years from April 1st without fail. This will sure get down the new cases and the active cases. The third phase of the vaccination drive for coronavirus will roll out from April 1st. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain told that the number of tests are increased to 80,000 per day. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total samples tested for coronavirus in India in total are 24,36,72,940 and the samples tested yesterday are 10,22,915.

The Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of the Indian drug regulator will meet for the emergency approval of Russia’s Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V. Dr Reddys submitted all the data of safety and immunogenicity last week. The recovery rate in India dropped to 94.11 percent as per the data from the Union Health Ministry.
