The world’s most famous electric car company, Tesla has confirmed that it will be launching in India in 2021.

Within 10 years, Tesla has become one of the most successful automobile companies in the world. These eco-friendly cars outpace sports and even super cars and appeal as good looking, innovative and environmentally friendly cars.

Tesla will start its operations in India from 2021 onwards.

The first car to come into the market for Tesla in India will be the Model 3 sedan which has also been the most successful product for the company since its launch. This model comes in three different variants: The Long Range, Standard Range Plus and Performance.

The Model 3 features include offering air updates, control panel for the car, a dashboard, a 15-inch touchscreen unit, which is almost as big as a laptop screen, access to various controls such as music, air conditioning, seating and driver’s information.

The seating in the car, comes with extreme comfort and panoramic glass roof. There is also power-adjustable heated front seats.

Some fun features include autonomous driving and self parking but these features might not be available in India.

Without government incentives and savings, the US price for this model at the moment is somewhere between Rs. 27.97 lakh to Rs. 40.34 lakh. Along with CBU prices and import in India this model might be sold for Rs. 60 lakh.

Manufacturing units and assembly stations along with battery stations are yet to be set up in India. Other models including Model 3’s SUV and Model Y will also be launching soon in the country.
