Trump brokered the peace deal between Israel and the Urab Arab Emirates, according to reports.
Christian Tybring, a member of the Norwegian Parliament and the chairman of NATO Parliamentary assembly has submitted the nomination of Nobel Peace Prize for the US President Donald Trump.
He told the Fox news that Trump has done more for creating peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates than most of the other nominees this year for the prize.
In his letter to the Nobel committee, Tybring wrote that the Trump administration has done a commendable job in establishing a relationship between the two countries.
He said that this cooperation will turn the middle east into a region of cooperation and Prosperity.
Tybring also cited Trump's key role in facilitating contact between the hostile parties by creating new dynamics in the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan and also in the conflict between North and South Korea by dealing with the nuclear capabilities of North Korea.
He praised Trump for withdrawing a large number of forces from the Middle East.
He indeed wrote that Trump has broken the record of 39 year old habit of the American Presidents who either started a war or brought the United Nations into an international armed conflict.
The last President before Trump to avoid a war was Jimmy Carter.
The US President Donald Trump has made an announcement in the last month that the historic peace agreement would pave way for the normalization of the relationship between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
With the agreement, UAE becomes the third Arab country after Egypt and Jordan to have established full fledged diplomatic ties with the Jewish country of Israel.
The White House's senior advisor Jared Kushner, who is also the husband of Trump's daughter Ivanka had helped Donald Trump orchestrate the peace deal between Israel and the UAE.
Ever since the deal was made public, Israel showed its willingness to explore business opportunities with the UAE in the areas of High technology and space.
Trump's allies had already suggested the possibility of a Nobel peace prize for Trump's role in the negotiations with the North Korea.
Trump has also grumbled about the peace prize by saying that his predecessor Barack Obama had won it.
If the reports are believed to be true, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has also Nominated Trump for the Nobel peace prize after receiving a request from the US government to do so.
According to the official Nobel website, there are 318 candidates for the 2020 Peace Prize.
