On Thursday, UNICEF said, 28 vaccine manufacturers had shared their annual production plans for COVID-19 vaccines through 2023.

Further, it mentioned about providing assistance in procurement and distribution.

UNICEF extends it support in fighting COVID-19 through COVAX, that is collaborated with World Health organization.

They aim to buy and provide easy access to the shots and 76 other nations have come together to be a part of the COVAX effort.

UNICEF made a market assessment and revealed that the manufacturers will bring in exceptional quantities of vaccine in the next 2 years.

This pandemic that has taken away more than 8,64,000 lives across the globe and situations would get even better when safe vaccines work effectively.

According to drugmakers, the success of effective vaccines would depend on factors like success rate of clinical trials, proper advance purchase agreements, confirmation on funding, and streamlined regulatory and registration pathways.

UN is likely to procure more than 2 billion vaccines annually, their immunization would be thoroughly monitored and its response in nearly 100 countries would be looked into.
