A senior democrat fears that Trump might hold on to the White House even if he loses the November election.

James Clyburn, the house majority whip says that he believes that Trump has no intention to peacefully transfer the power to Democratic candidate Joe Biden after the election results.

He said that Donald Trump could use his emergency powers to stay in the White House even if he loses in the November election 2020.

James also mentioned that Joe Biden is way ahead in several poll results in the race for the Oval office. While speaking to CNN, he said that Trump doesn’t seem to comply with fair and unfettered elections this year. He also stated that he thinks Trump would somehow install himself into the White House using some emergency powers.

Trump is also seen to be worried as the elections are approaching. Earlier last week, Trump said that if the elections are conducted in November this year, it would take years time to get the results. So, Trump thinks the upcoming election must be delayed.

Donald Trump also said that amid the coronavirus pandemic, it would not be safe for people to step out of their houses to vote for the election.

He took to Twitter and shared his view that the upcoming election could fall into voter fraud as millions of Americans are set to cast their vote via postal services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But experts have turned away his claims by saying that research shows that vote fraud is extremely rare in voting through postal services.

It is however clear that Trump wants to defer the elections for his own advantage. But, according to the studies from Arizona Universities, only 10 or 12 fraud cases have been recorded from 2000 to 2012.

Trump also repeatedly claimed that he could have beaten Hillary Clinton in the popular vote in the previous elections of 2016 had people not have voted illegally.

Many popular Republicans and law makers have slammed down the possibility in delay of elections this November.

Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows told the CBS on Sunday that they are going to hold an election on November 3 and their leader Trump is necessarily going to win the election.

Mr. Joe Biden had surpassed Trump in many states in the poll results recently and for Donald Trump to win he must win the hearts of people of all these states.

Trump has lost credibility among people by the way he handled the coronavirus pandemic. At first he did not endorse the importance of masks and even reopened the economy despite the surge in number of cases. But since the poll results, he is seen wearing face mask publicly and even urges people to wear masks.
