The US has confronted untrustworthy Chinese technology and has convinced many countries to refrain from using Huawei based equipment.

President Donald Trump while addressing reporters said that he had convinced many countries to not use products from Huawei due to high security risk.

Trump while designating Chinese Telecom companies Huawei and ZTE Corp as national security threats had mentioned that the US government has close ties with Chinese Communist Party and China’s military apparatus.

Recently, on Tuesday, the UK government has also announced its decision to ban British companies from using Huawei produced equipment for 5G networks by the end of 2020.

Responding to UK’s Prime Minister Johnson’s decision to ban Huawei products in the country, President Donald Trump said that he was responsible for UK’s decision, on Tuesday.

Johnson had ordered Huawei equipment to be eliminated completely from the country’s 5G network by the end of 2027saying the world’s biggest telecom operator is not welcomed in the west.

Trump, as a response to the reporters on UK’s ban said that he had not just convinced UK but many other countries to take this decision as it is a high risk during this tiff with China.

Upon knowing about UK’s ban on Huawei equipment, China has responded on Wednesday by saying that it would take all the necessary measures to safeguard China’s interests after the UK’s ban on use of its telecom company.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson, Hua Chunying has strongly opposed Britain’s decision and said that the decision by UK was driven by politicization of commercial and technological issues and not even by national security.

In what comes as a revelation, a senior British Minister on Wednesday denied the claim by President Donald Trump who said he was behind UK’s decision to stop using Huawei products saying, “Well, we all know Trump, don’t we?”

He added that all sorts of people can try to claim credit for the decision but this move but the UK government was based on a technical assessment by the National Cyber Security Centre.
