Sunday, is a complete lockdown for Bengaluru. The shops and other commercial businesses are to be closed.
B.H Anil Kumar who Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner gave this update in a video message. The conditions and guidelines will be the same as COVID-19 lockdown 1.0 for this coming lockdown.
The commissioner said, citizens must remain indoors and the lockdown is implemented according to Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa. The government gave an exception in case of any medical emergencies.
He said “Unless absolutely necessary, no one should step out of their homes. All markets will remain closed. Except for some essential services, such as neighbourhood kirana stores, all other shops and establishments will have to remain closed on Sunday.”
The Police Commissioner stated while addressing the media on Friday that the city Bengaluru will be following strict curfew the next two sundays. The curfew timings are 7 PM Saturday and 7 AM Monday. Karnataka government extended the lockdown till 31st May which includes the two coming sundays.
