21 killed in the Violent Clash of North-east Delhi

The North-east Delhi has been witnessing clashes and killing for the past three days as the mobs of the rival groups have started throwing stones at each other which has led to the vandalism that had marked unrelenting violence over the citizenship law protests.

It has been noted that around twenty- one people have been killed in the violent outburst in the clash that has been taking place from Sunday in the north- east Delhi.

The clash has aroused between the protesters who support the citizenship law and the ones who were against the controversial law. This has in turn led to the communal clashes as people were started being attacked based on their religion.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has posted a tweet three days after the violence has broke out where in he had appealed for peace and had added saying that the situation has been reviewed and the police have been working on it.

The Muslim- majority neighbors such as Maujpur, Mustafabad, Jaffrabad and Shiv Vihar in the north- east Delhi is where the unrest has been centered around.

The violent clash has erupted where in people of both the religions of Hindus and Muslims have been injured and it has been recorded that around 189 people were injured, as said by the officials at the Guru Teg Bahadur hospital.

Majority of the people who have been injured in the communal clashes were shifted to the Teg Bahadur hospital in the north- east Delhi.

The clash appears to have started with a threat that has been issued by Kapil Mishra who is a leader from the governing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party issued a threat against the protesters who have opposed the citizenship law.

The Delhi police have also been the victims in the violent outburst as it has been observed that more than 50 policemen have been injured and at least one constable was killed. The constable who has been killed in clash was identified as Ratan Lal.

An Intelligence Bureau officer has also been killed by the stone- pelting that has been done last night in the Chandbagh area in Delhi and the body of the officer was dumped in the drain, as said the uncle of the victim.

The officer has been identified as Ankit Sharma of 26 years of age and had worked in the Intelligence Bureau as a security assistant.
