The two death warrants that have been done earlier could not be carried out as the convicts has taken turns and has used every legal option that is available to them and therefore the death warrant that has been now scheduled is done as the trial court has been informed by the authorities of the Tihar jail that the three among the four convicts Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta, Mukesh Singh and Akshay Singh have any correspondence pending at the moment as all the legal options of being saved and extending the death warrant have exhausted.

This has shook the entire nation with people protesting for justice for the victim and her family.
The parents of the victim had filled an appeal in the trial court after the one week that has been provided by the High court which allowed the convicts to explore all the legal possibilities has been exhausted, asking for a fresh death warrant .
One of the four victims of the Delhi gang- rape and murder case, Vinay Sharma, has started a hunger strike in the Tihar jail of Delhi after the Supreme Court has turned down the petition that has been filed by the convict Vinay Sharma which challenged the rejection of his mercy plea by the President Ram Nath Kovind.
Vinay Sharma has claimed that his mental illness that he is facing following the torture that was received in the jail has not been factored by the President Ram Nath Kovind.
However, a medical report dated 12th of February has been produced by the centre which says that the convict was not mentally ill.
One of the convicts was just short of 28 years of age when he has committed the crime and therefore he was considered as a juvenile and has been released after he has sent three years at a reform home and Ram Singh who was said to be the main accused of the crime was found hanging in the jail.
