President of United States Donald Trump to visit India on February 24-25

The President of the United States Donald Trump is said to visit India on the 24th and 25th of February. This visit would be his official visit to India and President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump will be travelling to Ahmedabad, Gujarat other than capital city New Delhi.

The White said in an official statement and has confirmed the visit of President of the United States Donald Trump to India on the 24th and 25th of February.

The White House has said, “President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will visit India on February 24-25, 2020. The President and the First Lady will travel to New Delhi and Ahmedabad, which is in Prime Minister Modi’s home state of Gujarat and played such an important role in Mahatma Gandhi’s life and leadership of the Indian independence movement.”

It has also been stated by the White House that the trip of US President Donald Trump to India would help in strengthen the United States- India strategic partnership and would highlight the strong bonds between the people of both the countries of America and India, as discussed by the President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a phone call over the weekend.

Donald Trump has been cleared of all the charges by the US Senate regarding the impeachment trial, during last week.

It has been informed by the Defense Security and Cooperation Agency that the administration of Donald Trump has provided an approval regarding the sale of an Integrated Air Defense Weapon System (IADWS) to India and the estimated cost had been $1.867 billion.

The former President of the United States Barak Obama had also travelled to India in the years 2010 and 2015.

The visit of the President of United States Donald Trump to India follows the tour that has been made by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to the United States in the month of September on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also met in the month of August at the G7 summit held in the French town of Biarritz.
