IADR Fellowship Conferred to the First Indian, Dr. Saima Yunus Khan

Dr Saima Yunus Khan turns out to be the fist Indian to be conferred with the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) John Clarkson Fellowship.

She is said to be the Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics and Preventive Dentistry at the Dr Z A Dental College (ZADC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The International Association of Dental Research (IADR) John Clarkson fellowship that has been offered is to obtain training and experience in the dental public health for a period of five months at the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of the University of Manitoba, Canada.

Dr Saima Yunus Khan has also been conferred with the International College of Dentists Fellowship of the South East Asia region and also has been awarded the Pierre Fauchard Academy Fellowship and Outstanding Scientist Award, prior to being conferred with the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) John Clarkson Fellowship.

The official announcement regarding the Fellowship is said to be made on 18th of March 2020 during the opening ceremonies of the IADR/ AADR/ CADR General Session and Exhibition in Washington DC, USA. It is also been said that Dr Saima Yunus Khan would be receiving an amount of 15,000 US Dollars.

The Fellowship is said to be awarded in every two months and to only one post doctoral investigator.

The IADR is a US- based nonprofit organization consisting of over 10,000 individuals worldwide who have dedicated in order to drive dental, oral and ceaniofacial research to advance health and well- being worldwide through the process of discovering and dissemination.

The University of Manitoba has been chosen by Dr Saima from the list of other options that have been provided of the other centers of excellence in the United States of America and Canada. Her work is said to be submitted at the IADR Division and the IADR Global Headquarters in the United States of America.

The purpose of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) John Clarkson Fellowship is to provide and allow the investigators to obtain training and experience in the area of dental public health at a center of excellence that can be chosen by the investigator to the whom the IADR John Clarkson Fellowhip has been conferred.

Dr Saima is also a member of the editorial of the E Cronicon Dental Science Journal , Acta Scientifica and Journal of Dentistry, Oral disorders and Therapy.
