The queen strikes a pose with the three future kings. In the portrait, the queen can be seen posing in a white dress with a blue brooch with a handbag looped on her forearm alongside the three kings of the future, George was in Black Watch tartan trousers and a white shirt, Charles in a navy pinstripe suit and William is standing behind his father.
The historic photograph taken at the Buckingham Palace is only the second formal portrait of the sovereign along with the Duke of Cambridge, Prince of Wales and Prince George.
The first was clicked on the occasion of the Queen’s 90th birthday in April 2016 and it was used on special commemorative stamps.
Both the images of 2016 and 2020 were clicked by photographer Ranald Mackechnie.
