She was asked by the officials at her hotel in Fort Kochi to pack her luggage and leave the country at the earliest. The same has also been confirmed by the Foreigners Regional registration officer (FRRO) Kochi who also said that action will be initiated against her if she does not cooperate.

Janne told Times Of India that the officials were waiting at the hotel lobby for her to leave the hotel and the country today.

“The officials just came introduced themselves being from the immigration department and asked me to leave the country ASAP or legal action will be taken,” she said.

Janne said that she was feeling upset as this could be her last visit to India and that she had done everything that she thought was right like taking an assurance from the police for the peace march and even then she gets to experience all this.

“We have asked her peacefully to leave India as she cannot stay here after violating the rules and still speaking to the media against government. Her visa is not canceled now but if she doesn’t cooperate, she will have to face legal actions,” a senior FRRO official told Times Of India.
