With the rising issues with the unemployment in India, it is a beacon of light for the qualified professionals because the Silicon Valley based learning platform, Udacity, announced that they are expecting to expand and double their headcount in India, paving way for more jobs. The same is going to be done in the New Delhi office that they have in order to meet up with the growing student and the client based they have going around in India.

The company is mainly targeted to help with the training of the individuals on several topics including Artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and automation with the help of the several nano degree programs that they offer.

In an issued statement, the CEO of Udacity, Gabriel Dalporto stated saying, “India is fast rising as a prominent digital-first economy. As a result of this rapid digitisation across industries, there is a surging demand for new-age professionals adept in advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, automation, deep learning, data analytics, etc.”

With the increased demand in India, the company is in urgent need of expansion. They believe that they are going to double the head count in India by this year itself to meet with the needs that they have going around.

The company also further clarified saying that they are working to increase their current 40-member strong and talented team in the New Delhi office strategically by this coming year itself.

The COO of Udacity, Lalit Singh clarified saying, “We are registering a growing interest of learners - students as well as working professionals - in our cutting-edge Nanodegree programmes. To date, more than 1 in 10 Udacity students are from India.”

Current statistics suggest that Udacity caters to over 11.5 million students across the world and has over 60 enterprise clients.
