A Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorist, the main conspirator of Pulwam terror attack killed in an encounter in south Kashmir’s Tral on Monday, the Army has said.

Lt Gen Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon said that, “Mudasir Ahmed Khan alias 'Mohd Bhai' Khan was the conspirator of the Pulwama terror attack, while Inspector General SP Pani said his death was a major dent to the JeM. The IG said one of the militants killed was identified as 'Code Khalid', believed to be a Pakistani.”

He also informed that as many as 18 terrorists have been killed in the last 21 days.

“In last 21 days, we have eliminated 18 terrorists, out of them 14 being from JeM, 6 out of 14 were main commanders” KJS Dhillon said.

According to the reports, Mudassar Khan has been identified as the brain behind the Pulwama terror sucide attack that killed 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers on February 14. 

The CRPF jawans were killed when a Jaish terrorist rammed an explosives-laden vehicle -a Maruti Eeco minivan -into their bus. JeM terrorist Adil Ahmed Dar, who blew the explosive-laden vehicle had been in constant contact with Khan, News Agency PTI reported.

Mudassar Khan is an electrician with a graduate degree. He is local of Pulwama and arranged the vehicle and explosives used in the Pulwama attack, PTI reported.
