IT Ministry Asked YouTube to Remove Videos of IAF Pilot

According to the reports, Ministry of Information Technology has asked YouTube to remove all the video links relating to Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was captured by Pakistan Army during an air combat on Wednesday.

After Home Ministry directive the Information Technology Ministry had asked the Video-sharing website Youtube to remove all the links of the video following that youtube now said to have removed all of them.

Regarding this matter a Google ( company which runs youtube ) spokesperson said the company act upon with "valid legal requests from authorities wherever possible, consistent with our longstanding policy and act quickly to remove such material".

He further added that, “Data on government requests to remove content from Google services is regularly updated in our transparency report.”

Videos of wing cdr Abhinandan varthaman are shared across social media platforms like Twitter, WhatsApp and Facebook.

Whole nation relieved after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced in the Parliament that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman will be released tomorrow as a ‘peace gesture’.

He also requested the Indian government to not to escalate tensions from this point. He said, “ If India escalate tensions we will be forced to respond and retaliate, and that will not be a happy situation for both nations.”
