Authorities said that investigators found a seven days old baby floating in the Atlantic Ocean and was analyzed likely to be in the water for less than a day.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Capt. Steven Strivelli said that the child they are calling "Baby Jane" was found near Inlet of Boynton on June 1 had "very likely" floated northward from Broward County.
He also told reporters that investigators "desperately need to talk" to the baby's parents. He says different organizations are evaluating various tips, yet none have worked out.
He would not state whether the restorative analyst has found a reason for death, or whether examiners trust the infant was dead before she went into the water.
