Woman Refuses to Plead Guilty in Murder of Indian American Drug Dealer in New Jersey

Raquel Garajau, 21, of New Jersey has refused to plead guilty and had chosen to stand trial for the murder of Indian American drug dealer.
According to report, Garajau, a Brookdale Community College student and her beau, Joseph C. Villani, 21, were charged in May 2017 on charges of robbing and killing an India-origin woman, Trupal Patel whose body found on February 22, 2017 in Shark River Park.
10 days prior to reporting missing, Patel was shot to death and dumped in the river by Villani. Villani was arrested three days after the incident while Garajau was arrested after indictment accused her of participating in the murder.
According to authorities, Garajau and Villani were allegedly panning to encounter with Patel who was a marijuana dealer and later mugging him of marijuana and wealth.
The woman who committed evildoing rejected to plead guilty with a 10-year-prison sentence, rather chose to face trial with a possibility of 125-year-sentence.
Her trial is presently scheduled to July 17.
