Maryland Fair is dealing with cases of Swine flu for the second time in many weeks. A Statement issued by Maryland Department of Agriculture on Sunday showed that 11 pigs from The Great Fredrick Fair are infected with Influenza A.
All the swine at the fair ground are kept in observation since the last pig showed signs of illness. The Symptoms were high fevers, cough, reluctance to move and mouth breathing.
This incident came after seven residents were contracted with swine flu from infected pigs at Charles County fair. Maryland Department has said that infected people had close contact with pigs that were tested positive.
Transmission of Swine Flu to humans is very rare since 2005 there are only 400 reported cases. Symptoms of Swine flu are same as seasonal flu including fever, cough and sore throat.
Health officials have warned people to take proper care so that they don’t get infected by Swine flu.
