
A flight departed from Dubai to Australia today was diverted to Singapore due to an engine issue.
At 1.05 a.m. flight QF10 departed from the Dubai international airport, that was bound for Melbourne, Australia. But in the midway towards Australia the airline confirmed that it had to land the flight to Singapore’s Changi International Airport due to a "mechanical fault."
The passengers were assured that they can take the next available flight to complete their journey, or else they can get an overnight stay in Singapore.
The airline said in response to queries on Social media that "Flight QF10 from Dubai to Melbourne was required to divert to Singapore's Changi Airport due to a mechanical fault,"
They said that travelers who wants to continue their journey can take the next available flight to their destination and others will be provided overnight accommodation.
Qantas has constantly managed to keep itself in the top list of airlines with the best safety ratings.
AirlineRatings.com in its latest survey named the Qantas as the safest in the world for the fourth consecutive year.
